People can run into financial difficulties for a variety of reasons. For example, a lack of planning or little understanding of one’s options can lead to financial challenges. CCCS offers one-on-one counseling in-person, on the phone, or over the Internet. In particular, with our services, we help you regain a sense of financial well-being.

All counselors and educators maintain the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) certifications and are licensed through the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs. Also, all counselors and educators are trained through the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and NeighborWorks America.

During a session, you and your counselor will discuss your goals, review your income and expenses, assets and liabilities, debt, discuss your options, and provide a customized action plan. Undoubtedly, client confidentiality and privacy are our top priorities. Furthermore, there are no upfront charges for many CCCS services offered, regardless of ability to pay.

Access for the disabled

We provide phone counseling for the disabled population that cannot travel to an office location. Also, for the hearing impaired, a federal phone service provider offers phone relay. Furthermore, an online Federal Government TTY Directory is accessible at www.federaltty.us. In fact, the FedRelay is accessible in 50 states as well as Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and the District of Columbia 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (including federal holidays).
