On Wednesday, April 26th 2017, United Way of the Coastal Empire hosted its 38th Annual Volunteer Awards Celebration. Every spring a panel of community judges select a winning individual or group, who has demonstrated outstanding volunteer achievements in the areas of Animal Advocacy, Art and Culture, Education and Youth Development, Environment, and Human Services. This year CCCS nominated our two outstanding volunteers, Mr. Barry Lubeck, in the area of Human Services and, Ms. Jacquelyn Sumpter in the area of Education. Over the past years, Mrs. Jackie and Mr. Barry have volunteered a combined total of 164 hours with CCCS. During this event, Ms. Jackie and Mr. Barry received certificates of recognition and a gift of appreciation.
Barry and Jackie are both invaluable members of the CCCS family and we were elated to have their contributions to our organizations recognized during this community-wide event. During the nomination process, when we were asked to describe the impact their work has had on our organization we had this to say:
“Jacquelyn Sumpter is an irreplaceable asset. She is always pushing Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Savannah to reach further in the community by expanding our organization’s partnerships and building community trust. Ms. Jackie volunteers at our outreach events and homebuyers classes on the weekends.”
“A former Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Savannah employee turned volunteer. Barry Lubeck is a dedicated and dependable fixture at CCCS, where he continues to give his time and talents to support the work we do.”
Thank you again for all you do to support CCCS!
